SkinPen works by creating hundreds of controlled micro-punctures per second across the treatment area. Each puncture triggers your skin’s natural healing response, stimulating the production of new collagen and elastin from within. Results develop gradually over 4 to 6 weeks as the skin remodels and refines. The treatment requires no anaesthetic for most patients, and you can return to your day the same day. With a course of 3 to 6 appointments spaced 4 weeks apart, improvements continue to build over time.
Phase I · Inflammation
The micro-punctures trigger your immune system to disinfect the wounds, increase blood flow and begin new tissue formation.
Phase II · Proliferation

What to Expect
Aftercare
SkinPen treatments require minimal downtime. You can return to your normal day the same day, with a few simple guidelines to follow in the first 24 to 48 hours.
Immediately After Treatment
Your skin will appear red and may feel warm, similar to mild sunburn. This is a normal response and usually settles within a few hours. Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area.
First 24 Hours
Avoid makeup, moisturisers, SPF and any activities that cause sweating for the first 24 hours. Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas and steam rooms during this period.
24 - 48 Hours
Avoid direct sun exposure for the first 48 hours as the skin is more susceptible to UV damage following treatment. Apply a broad spectrum SPF daily once the initial healing period has passed.
