Skin Concerns
Redness and Rosacea
Persistent facial redness can be difficult to manage and even harder to conceal. Whether it appears as a general flush, visible capillaries or the classic patterns of rosacea, it often worsens over time without the right treatment. The right clinical approach can calm reactivity, reduce visible redness and help skin feel more settled and comfortable day to day.
UNDERSTANDING THE CONCERN
Understanding Redness and Rosacea
What is Rosacea
Rosacea is a chronic skin condition that causes persistent redness, flushing and visible blood vessels on the face, typically across the cheeks, nose, chin and forehead. It affects a significant proportion of adults, more often those with fair or sensitive skin, and tends to worsen with age if left unmanaged.
The exact cause is not fully understood, but rosacea involves both vascular and inflammatory components. Common triggers include heat, spicy food, alcohol, exercise and certain skincare products. For many patients, the unpredictability of flare-ups is as difficult to manage as the redness itself.
Facial Redness
Not all facial redness is rosacea. Reactive or sensitive skin, broken capillaries and thread veins can all produce a persistently flushed appearance without a formal rosacea diagnosis. The key difference is that general facial redness tends to be temporary while rosacea is persistent and progressive.
SOUND FAMILIAR?

Recommended Treatments
Redness and rosacea respond best to treatments that target visible vessels and calm the skin's inflammatory response. These are the treatments we recommend.
Thread Vein and Rosacea Management
Dye-VL vascular laser technology targets oxyhaemoglobin in visible blood vessels, gradually collapsing them and reducing overall redness. Performed in courses with maintenance appointments to keep results stable.
